In Moscow

After three months at home I’m halfway back to camp. More or less, at least I’ve made it to Moscow. Landing in Ulaan Baatar tomorrow morning and on Monday morning we are leaving for camp. Hope to start scouting snare sites on Wednesday and that we will have most of the snares up and running by the end of next week. Lots of stuff happening this season, first off is a new documentary by a Swedish film team.

I’m hoping that spring has come to the Gobi. Also hoping that Khavar (spring in Mongolian) will come to the snares since he needs a new collar. High time to get some new collars out. We will set up camp in the area that Aztai and Khavar utilize. Aztai’s collar also needs to be replaced, we have monitored him since august 2008 and do not want to loose contact with him.
