I’ve been at home for about three months now. Nice with some rest although life is hectic in Sweden too. Lots of ‘office work’ to do, to top things up I signed up for a statistics course. Not sure what I was thinking then but for the last two months I have been struggling to learn the fine art of stats. People say its hard to catch snow leopards but try understanding an ANOVA…
Another bright idea was to buy a gym card. I do need to get back in shape but man my body has been hurting for the last weeks.
Anyways, it’s just three more weeks and then I am returning to Mongolia for three more months of field work. I will put snares around our old Base camp, hoping to catch Aztai yet again. His collar will soon be out of batteries so I better put a new one on him. Hopefully Khavar still use that area too, his collar dropped off last October. With even more luck Saikhan, a young male collared in 2009, passes by now and then and can get a new collar too. Plus any new cat that we haven’t caught yet.
It will be a busy period with a filmcrew, supervisor visits, a friend from Kolmarden zoo plus a couple of volunteers. And hopefully lots of captures, more soon.
